Ryan Day became the first player to make a 147 in the Duelbits Tour Championship, scoring a maximum break in the third frame of his quarter-final clash against Mark Selby in Hull.
Having lost the first two frames, Day hit back in perfect fashion with the third 147 of his career. The last two reds were in awkward positions, but he executed a series of superb pots to keep the break going, and cleared the colours to score the 187th maximum in snooker history and 11th of the season.
The Welshman will earn the £10,000 high break prize unless the 147 is equalled.
