Egypt’s Mostafa Dorgham qualified for the World Snooker Tour for the first time in June 2023 after he defeated Mohamed Khairy 5-2 to win the African Snooker Championship.
Dorgham registered his first victory as a professional at the 2023 Shoot Out by defeating Manaswin Phetmalaikul to reach the last 64 stage. He later ended the career of veteran Fergal O’Brien with a 10-8 victory at the 2024 World Championship qualifiers in the Irishman’s final match as a professional.
