Mark Davis reached his first ranking event final at the 2018 English Open, notably defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan 6-1 in the semi-finals.
An ever-present on the World Snooker Tour since 1991, Davis would narrowly miss out on claiming his maiden ranking event in Crawley following a 9-7 defeat to Stuart Bingham.
Davis has enjoyed particular success as a professional during the second half of his career, having risen to as high as 12th in the world rankings in 2013 and 2014. He reached his first ranking event semi-final at the 2012 Wuxi Classic, a feat that he would also repeat at the Australian Goldfields Open and UK Championship during the same year.
His other notable achievements include a hat-trick of 6-Red World Championship titles, as well as victories at the Masters Qualifying event and World Seniors Championship.
In 2021 he came through the World Championship qualifiers for a record 11th time, with Dominic Dale and John Parrott closest with nine successful qualifications each.
