Stuart Bingham made a sublime 147 break in the first round of the Betway UK Championship in Milton Keynes.

The perfect run came in the sixth frame of his first round meeting with Zak Surety. It’s the second 147 break of the tournament, after Kyren Wilson’s maximum yesterday. That means both Bingham and Wilson are in line to take a £7,500 share of the £15,000 high break prize.

It’s the seventh 147 of Bingham’s career, which moves him ahead of Shaun Murphy and Ding Junhui on six. Only John Higgins (11), Stephen Hendry (11) and Ronnie O’Sullivan (15) have made more.

Bingham’s break is the 163rd official maximum in snooker history and the sixth of the season.

The break was officiated by Germany’s Marcel Eckardt.
