I have been involved in the game as a player and club owner over several decades and am now based back at the Victoria Snooker Centre in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
As a Level 1 WPBSA coach, it’s an honour to be able to offer some help and encouragement to anyone (young or old!) who would like to explore further the wonderful world of cue sports!
My own snooker journey started as a 5-year-old, standing on a “Watneys Pale Ale” bottle crate rolling the balls around in my dad’s club in Southend-on-Sea. Some Saturday mornings we held our junior competitions and this led to me playing in local, then Essex County and eventually the regular 1980’s pro-am circuit around the South East and beyond.
These days my passion is English Billiards, the wonderful, original old game played on a “snooker” table! I have been lucky enough to capture some county billiards titles in Kent, Essex and East Sussex but any “success” really comes second to the pure enjoyment of just playing and the rush of hitting a run of nice shots!
With snooker coaching, hopefully I can offer you the enjoyment of discovering a few new things (“knowledge is as important as talent”) and secondly we will then see where your ability can take you!!
