The Betfred World Snooker Championship is participating in the Government’s Events Research Programme. For more information click here.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to allow you to attend this event if you are classed as clinically extremely vulnerable. The DCMS has made this decision and has released the following statement:
The Events Research Programme has been designed and set up to study whether or not it is possible to safely allow greater numbers of spectators at large-scale events without the use of interventions such as face coverings and social distancing.
As we gather this evidence, it would not be suitable on health grounds for the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable to attend such events as we gather this and potentially be put at greater risk of transmission as a result.
This is fully in line with existing PHE and DHSC guidance and does not apply to events outside of the Events Research Programme.
