Today (Monday 17th May) marked a significant milestone for amateur snooker players across the UK with the reopening of snooker clubs in England, Wales and the majority of Scotland.

Following a period of closure, in England dating back to the start of the third national lockdown from 6 January, snooker facilities were today permitted to reopen as the Government Roadmap reached Step 3.

WPBSA Chairman Jason Ferguson today took to Twitter to thank everyone who has contributed to the reopening of facilities and for the hard work that has gone into preparing venues for this day.
