Gary Wilson made the second maximum break of his career at the Betfred World Championship qualifiers in Sheffield on Thursday morning.
The world number 59 made his perfect break during the fourth frame of his match against Josh Boileau, taking a 4-0 lead.
He will earn the £1000 high break prize for the qualifiers plus another £1000 from the rolling 147 prize pot for qualifying events – as long as the maximum is not equalled at Ponds Forge.
Wilson’s first 147 also came in a qualifying event, for the 2013 German Masters.
It’s the 131st maximum in snooker history and 13th this season. It is the third 147 to have been compiled in the history of the World Championship qualifiers.
The break was officiated by Sheffield referee Dave Ford, the first maximum that he has presided over.
