John Higgins fired in a sublime 147 break on Finals Day at the BetVictor Championship League in Milton Keynes.

It came in the final frame of the Scot’s 3-1 win over Kyren Wilson and was the 11th of his career. That draws Higgins level with compatriot Stephen Hendry on career maximums, only Ronnie O’Sullivan on 15 has made more.

The perfect break is the second of this Championship League, after Welshman Ryan Day made a 147 in the first stage. It is the 159th official maximum in snooker history.

The break was officiated by Colin Humphries.
