Robert Milkins crafted the third 147 break of his career at the BetVictor German Masters, in the second frame of his quarter-final clash with Chris Wakelin.
Remarkably Milkins also made a rare 146 break earlier this week in his last 32 clash with Daniel Wells. That already had him in line for the £5,000 high break prize, but tonight’s perfect break strengthens his grip on the bonus payout.
Milkins’ two previous maximum breaks both came at World Championship qualifying, in 2006 and 2012. This evening’s 147 was the eighth of the season so far and the 184th official maximum in snooker history.
