The WPBSA has announced further dates for its accredited snooker coaching programmes for 2016.

Level One Certificate in Snooker – Community WPBSA World Snooker Coach

The level one course will be held on Sunday 9th October 2016 at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.

This level is aimed at equipping candidates with the skills to organise a snooker event and/or develop junior clubs within their area and give delegates an introduction on how to coach the basics of the game.

This will involve Child Protection/Safeguarding training, a DBS check and understanding where to get help regarding the rules and coaching. This is a one day course and will be delivered by Chris Lovell, Andrew Highfield and Chris Motley.

Level Two Certificate in Snooker – WPBSA World Snooker Coach

The level two course will be held over two days on Friday 30 September and Saturday 1st October 2016, also at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.

This level is aimed at equipping candidates with how to deliver:

• an in-depth knowledge of delivering the basics of the game

• understanding technique against textbook theories

• how to promote/market yourself as a coach to set up programmes

• the rules of the game

• full child protection/safeguarding training and a DBS check

This is a two day course and will be delivered by Steve Davis, Chris Lovell, Andrew Highfield and Chris Motley.
