Bio

Estonia’s Andres Petrov turned professional for the first time at the start of the 2022/23 season following his victory at the EBSA European Championship in Albania.

His best run to date as a professional came at the 2022 UK Championship, when he defeated Jamie O’Neill, Jackson Page and Gary Wilson to reach the final qualifying round, before losing out to China’s Xiao Guodong.

Petrov reached the last 64 of the 2019 Riga Masters as an amateur following a 4-0 victory against Kishan Hirani.

Amateur Career

Petrov has been a regular competitor at amateur tournaments for several years, notably winning the EBSA 6-Red Championship in 2021. He also reached the final of the 2017 European Championship, losing to Scotland’s Chris Totten.

Away from the baize, Petrov is also a qualified EBSA Snooker Coach.
