Q School Hopes End For Akbar

Former professional Hamza Akbar saw his chances of regaining a tour card via Asia-Oceania Q School dashed as he lost 4-1 to Poramin Danjirakul on the opening day of the second and final event in Bangkok.

Thailand’s Danjirakul goes through to the last 32 to face Khash-Ochir Tuvshinjargal, who beat Muhammad Umer Khan 4-1.

Dechawat Poomjaeng bounced back from the disappointment of losing to Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon in the final round of event one on Sunday by beating Loh Chung Leong 4-2.

Thor Chuan Leong scored a 4-0 success over Siyavosh Mozayani.

The event runs until Saturday, with the two finalists to earn a two-year tour card. Follow results here.
