The World Snooker Federation (WSF) has announced that the entry deadline for the 2023 WSF Championships has been extended until 20 January 2023.

Set to be held at the Mounties Club in Sydney, Australia, from 31 January – 11 February 2023, the prestigious event will include the staging of two major international tournaments, the WSF Junior Championship (31 January – 3 February) and the WSF Championship (4-11 February).

The winner of each tournament will earn a prized two-year tour card to the professional World Snooker Tour from the start of the 2023/24 season.

The Championships have already attracted strong player support, with over 150 total entries from 24 countries from around the globe.

The WSF is aware that a number of players are currently awaiting visa applications and in order to give all players the best opportunity to compete, have taken the decision to extend the entry deadline.

Eligibility

Both events are open to all amateur players from around the world and are open to players of all nationalities and genders.

  • Players are now eligible to enter directly on an individual basis, providing that they are in good standing with their National Federation.
  • Players competing in the WSF Junior Championship must be under the age of 18 up to and including the 31st December 2022.
  • Players of any age may enter the WSF Championship.

Entry Process

All entries must be received through the WPBSA SnookerScores website.

Entry/Payment deadline

The deadline for entries and payments for both events is 4:30pm GMT on Friday 20 January 2023.
