Bio

Scotland’s Dean Young secured a place on the World Snooker Tour for the first time in 2021 by successfully coming through Q School in Sheffield.

Under-21 champion at national level, Young is a former Challenge Tour event winner and reached the last 32 of the Shoot Out on his professional debut in 2020. He would go one round further as a professional in 2022 when he reached the last 16 of the same event, losing out to Billy Castle.

From Edinburgh, Young is a regular practice partner of former Championship League winner Scott Donaldson.
